Full Moon Hiking Run in Mahon

On Friday evening August 8th 2025, locals and guests in Menorca can participate in a unique event — a night hiking run lit by a full moon in the town of Mahon. It isn’t a competition, it’s an opportunity to walk (or run) nine kilometers under moonlight, enjoying the nature, culture and fascinating views of the island.
The route is designed to provide participants a real time travel experience. Along the way, ancient Talaiotic monuments, witnesses to the millennia-old history of Menorca, will be illuminated. One of the most impressive moments will be walking along the runway of the Mahon-Menorca airfield, which will be specially illuminated. The route will also pass through a charming village of Lucmaçanes.
It is a perfect event for those who love culture, nature and staying active. It doesn’t matter if you are walking or running as long as you are enjoying the moment!
