Sailing regatta “PalmaVela 2025”

Location: Palma. Mallorca
PalmaVela is an annual sailing regatta held by the Royal yacht club of Palma in Mallorca. The Royal yacht club of Palma, founded in 1948, is one of the most prestigious yacht organisations in the world.
In 2025, the event will include two main stages:
– La Larga: from the 25th to 29th of April.
– XXI PalmaVela from the 30th of April to the 4th of May.
La Langa is a long distance race. It takes place around the Balearic islands aquatorium. The teams are from many different countries. There are many teams in the ORC A2 class this year, including Azuree, skippered by Eduardo Horrach, and Guaguanco IV, captained by brothers Juan and Thierry Lallemand, who recently competed in the 200-mile ORC A Dos race in Altea. More than 30 teams are expected to take part in La Larga, including such famous boats as Wallycento Tilakkhana II.
PalmaVela is a multi-class regatta that brings together different categories of yachts such as IMA/Maxi Yachts, ORC, ORC A2, IRC, ClubSwan 50, Swan 45, ClubSwan 42, J80, J70, 6M, Cape 31, Dragon, Flying Fifteen, Época, Clásicos, Espíritu de Tradición and Swan S&S. This year, the new category Cape 31 will take part, a modern racing sailboat of 31 feet (9.5 m) designed for high-speed competitions.
