Spanish corrida in Muro

On June 20th 2026 the town of Muro in Mallorca will host a bright spectacle as part of San Juan celebrations: a traditional spanish corrida at the “La Monumenal” arena. The evening’s program will renowned matadors Antonio Ferrera and Miguel Angel Perera, as well as the young bullfighter Olga Casado.
For some Spaniards bullfighting is an art form, a symbol of the country’s traditions, courage and history. For others, a cruel treatment of animals that cannot exist in the modern world. That’s why corrida has been a topic of debate for many years. In some regions of Spain it is banned or hugely restricted, while in others corrida still attracts thousands of spectators.
Bullfighting is less common in Mallorca than it used to be, but traditional events are still held in some towns, especially during local festivals.
