Show ‘Moscow’
Date: 07.02.25-09.02.25
Place: Palma. Mallorca
‘Moscow’ is a very free version of Anton Chekhov’s plays The Three Sisters and Uncle Vanya by director David Selvas.
A play with twelve characters and no protagonist. A piece that is a landscape. A romantic landscape, a living painting.
A microcosm with various threads of human contention and bizarre relationships where nothing ever happens, but at the same time everything happens. Where nostalgia for the past boycotts the present, reducing it to hope for a future that will never come.
A broken family, locked in a suffocating rural house in the provinces, lonely and self-destructive individuals, condemned to chronic emptiness. This play raises questions for the spectator that are still relevant in today’s society, touching on subjects such as self-determination, time and relationships between people.
The play is in Catalan.
