Correfoc “Woman of Fire”

“Woman of Fire” is an event in the format of reenactment of correfoc, a traditional Catalan fire performance dedicated to World Women’s Day. In Mallorca, 8th of March is celebrated as the day of struggle for gender equality and women’s rights.
“Woman of Fire” is a spectacular procession with the participation of “devils”, who wave fireworks, dance and create an incredible fire show. The event will be attended by musical groups “Mallorcan Witches”, “Fire Demons” and a group of drummers from Inca.
Participants are advised to wear thick natural clothing, closed shoes, goggles and gloves or a mask for protection from fire and sparks.
