XXl Burball – amateur theatre festival

From 5 to 28 September 2025, the Municipal Theatre Mar i Terra in Palma will host the XXI Burball, an amateur theatre festival. The festival will feature an intense program with different theatrical groups performing both classical and contemporary pieces in spanish and catalan. The repertoire includes dramas, comedies, social plays and famous adaptations of such works as “A Streetcar Named Desire” and “The Accidental Death of an Anarchist”.
The festival is organised with support from the Palma municipality and is held as part of the PALMA 2031 initiative, the city’s candidacy for the status of European cultural capital.
Tickets are available online on giglon.com, as well as in the theatre’s ticket office one hour before the show starts. Ticket prices vary from 5 to 10 euros. This event offers a great opportunity to meet the local theatre scene and support the creativity of aspiring actors.
