New wine festival
Venue: Binissalem
The annual festival of new wine already 58 times takes place in the village of Binissalem. In the extensive program you can find many interesting things. This is the «trepitjar» competition, trampling of grapes, a big battle with grapes, a demonstration of decorated carts, live music, dancing, theatrical performances, cycling, dinners and suppers in the fresh air. In September, Binissalem becomes a real scene. Locals decorate the town, take long tables to the streets and eat in the evenings drinking wine from the local cellars. The Fidede de Vermar soup is a noodle cooked in a meat broth with spices – the star of the show.
