‘VAV’ show
Date: 08.02.25. Starts at 19:00
Venue: Inca. Mallorca
‘VAV’ is a dance performance created by the choreographer Daniel Abreu. The title “VAV” refers to the sixth letter of the Hebrew alphabet, which symbolises the connection between heaven and earth, body and spirit, and relationships between people, including romantic ones.
The work explores themes such as belonging, the rituals and myths necessary to create and maintain connections. The performance consists of two parts, reflecting individuality and collectivity, the human and the spiritual. The production features six performers and the choreography combines the physical and the digital, matter and light.
Daniel Abreu is a dancer and choreographer from Tenerife, winner of the 2014 National Dance Award in the Creation category, awarded by the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sport. His work has also been recognised with the Max awards for best choreography, best dance show and best male role in dance.
