Fecha: 18.10.2025
Location: Palma
Saint Catalina Thomas (1531 – 1574), popularly known as “the Blessed” was canonized in 1792. At that time, various municipalities such as Valldemossa and Santa Margalida began to celebrate her feast day and continue to do so to this day. Catalina Thomas is one of the most important religious figures on the island and the patron saint of the town of Valldemossa, where her relics are kept.
In the third week of October, the feast of Saint Catalina Thomas is also celebrated in Palma. The city hosts the traditional parade of the Triumphal Chariot, accompanied by giant puppets and cheremias (musicians playing an instrument similar to the gaita).
