Dive into the world of magic and fantasy at the 27th international puppet theatre festival “Teresetes”.
Teresetes are traditional Spanish puppets that play an important role in local folklore, especially in kids shows and street theatre. They are handled by puppet masters who manipulate them from behind the scene or curtain, creating engaging performances for the audience.
The themes of teresetes plays are varied and rich. They include elements of humor, witty social satire and critical reflection on current issues and social norms. These performances not only entertain the audience, but also encourage them to think about important aspects of life and society, creating a unique combination of fun and deep meaning.
More than 50 shows, as well as art workshops and family events will fill the streets and stages of Mallorca. The festival features different types of puppetry, including marionettes, glove puppets, street theatre, etc. The program includes both international and local performers, representing a variety of styles and approaches to puppetry.
Admission to some events is free, while tickets to others range from 5 to 8 euros.
