Pieces for Harpsichhord. The soloists of the Baroque Orchestra. 05.11.24
Venue: Caixa Forum
The soloists of the Baroque Orchestra of Seville present Jean-Philippe Rameau’s “Pieces de harpsichord en concert” from around 1768, preserved in the National Library of France. This collection, which can be considered the only collection of Rameau dedicated to chamber music, contains some of the finest works of the late Baroque era. A unique opportunity to discover a hybrid work that runs through musical history, from its concert origins in the 18th century to its sextet arrangement in the Romantic century.
Performers:
Ignacio Ramal, Pablo Prieto and Jose Manuel Navarro, violins
Elvira Martinez, viola
Mercedes Ruiz, cello
Ventura Rico, double bass
