Open Water Swimming World Cup 2025
Date: 25.04.25-27.04.25
Venue: Santa Eularia des Riu, Ibiza
The island of Ibiza (Balearic Islands), specifically the municipality of Santa Eularia dos Riu, will be the main sports and tourist centre of the 2025 Open Water Swimming World Cup organised by World Aquatics. This time, the international federation has entrusted the second round to Spain and Ibiza, with its paradisiacal beaches and spectacular nature, has been chosen as the venue.
During the tournament, the world’s strongest swimmers will compete in long swims that take place on natural bodies of water such as seas, lakes and rivers. The distances usually range from 5 to 25 kilometres and the stages themselves are held in different countries with unique natural beauties.
On 21 and 22 February, the first stage will take place in Soma Bay, Egypt. The stage will then take place in Ibiza (in April) and later in Setubal (Portugal) on 14 and 15 June.
