“Michael”

The ”Michael” film is a biopic about the life and career of Michael Jackson, one of the most influential artists in pop music history. The plot follows his career from childhood in the Jackson 5 band up to becoming an international superstar, showing the development of his talent, the difficulties he faced in his personal life and in the industry and the price he had to pay for success.
The film fuses a personal story with recreating iconic performances, revealing not only the artist’s stage image, but also the artist’s inner world with his ambitions, experiences, and striving for perfection.
The lead role is played by Jafar Jackson, Michael’s nephew and Jermaine Jackson’s son. This part became especially personal to him: he grew up in a musical family, familiar with his uncle’s heritage. Thanks to physical resemblance, flexibility and serious preparation, by studying movements, facial expressions, and performance style, he managed to convey the image of the legendary artist as accurately as possible. This work became his first major role and immediately attracted great attention from the audience.
