Flow – a 2024 animated film, created by a Latvian director Gints Zilbalodis. The story tells of a black cat who wakes up in a world where everything is underwater and there aren’t any people left. In search of salvation, he finds a boat full of other animals. However, in order to survive together, they have to not only overcome the fear of endless waters but also learn to get along with each other. The motion picture is entirely dialogue-less, which makes its emotional and visual impact even stronger. The world premiere of the picture was held on May 22nd, 2024 at the 77th Cannes Film Festival, where the show was accompanied by a seven-minute ovation. The film won many prizes at international film festivals including the award “Golden Globe“. He also received two nominations for the “Oscar” prize, which is due to be held on March 2nd, 2025
