Mackerel Festival. 12.10.24 – 13.10.24

The festival in Cala Ratjada port, held annually in October, is a true gastronomical exhibition for gourmet tasting of dishes with the Llampuga fish, otherwise known as mackerel. The catch of this Mediterranean delicacy is particularly good in the Cala Ratjada area and falls conveniently in the middle of October.
The festival, organized by fishermen, hoteliers and local restaurateurs, besides showing numerous dishes of mackerel varieties, is an example of how it is possible to combine the style of a fishing village with the high culinary art of local restaurants. During the festival, many local foodies and tourists gather to taste a mackerel dish under a glass of white wine.
