Lloseta’s patroness celebrations

From late August to early September, the picturesque town of Lloseta, located in the heart of Mallorca, is filled with life, music and joy. The annual celebrations of the town’s patroness are the main events of the year, which unite locals and visitors in an atmosphere of excitement, tradition and cultural wealth.
The patroness of Lloseta is the Blessed Virgin – Virgin of Lloseta (Virgen de Lloseta / Mare de Déu de Lloseta), whose feast day is celebrated on September 8th. This day is considered the main holiday of the municipality and is celebrated by a religious ceremony in the temple with the participation of local officials.
This year the program is especially rich: concerts, children’s plays, sport competitions, traditional snacks and street celebrations. Special attention is paid to the participation of the youth and local associations, which makes the holidays truly authentic.
Among the main events are the grand opening, a competition for the best festive scarf and pa am oli (traditional food: bread with tomato and olive oil) for everyone.
