This concert is a unique opportunity to hear a live performance of an outstanding Russian pianist Grigory Sokolov, who is considered one of the greatest classical music performers of our generation. He started playing the piano at an early age. In 1966, at 16 years old, Grigory became the youngest winner of the International Tchaikovsky competition, which led to his worldwide fame. Sokolov is known for his deep immersion in music, technique and unique interpretation of works by composers such as Bach, Beethoven, Chopin, Schubert and Brahms.
He prefers live performances to studio recordings. His shows are characterized by depth, emotions and the rare technical impeccability. Sokolov leads a quiet life, avoids publicity and fully commits himself to music, considering every performance a unique piece of art.
