Chinese New Year

Date: 22.02.2026

Venue: Palma. Mallorca

Chinese New Year, known as the Spring Festival (Chūn Jié), is one of the most significant holidays in Chinese culture. It is celebrated on the first day of the lunar calendar and symbolises renewal and the arrival of spring.

In Palma, Chinese New Year 2026 will be celebrated with large-scale events in the city centre in the Pedro Garau district. The programme includes lion and dragon dances, traditional Chinese dances, taichi and kung fu demonstrations, and traditional Chinese fan dances. Food and souvenir stalls will be set up in the town square.

This holiday will not only allow you to immerse yourself in the atmosphere of Chinese culture, but will also unite people of different nationalities living in Mallorca, giving them the opportunity to celebrate the coming of the New Year once again, but already according to the Eastern tradition.
