Cavalcade of the Three Kings

Cavalcade of the Three Kings (Cabalgata de los Reyes Magos) is a bright and festive procession. The magicians – Melchior, Gaspard and Baltazar – arrive by boat to coastal towns such as Palma and then follow by carriage through the city centre. They give out sweets, candies and symbolic gifts to the children.
The day of the Three Kings is one of the most important festivals in Spain. It symbolizes the arrival of the Magi (or three sages) with gifts to baby Jesus. In Spanish tradition, it is the main day for giving gifts to children, analogous to Christmas.
