The Barridiades neighbourhood sports programme is an initiative of the Municipal Institute of Sports (IME) in Palma, offering free play and sports activities every Saturday from 10:30 to 13:30 in different areas of the city.
These sessions are aimed at children and young people from the age of three and include a wide range of activities such as basketball, tennis, hockey, archery, badminton, obstacle courses to develop agility and motor skills, athletics, petanque and others.
Participants also receive a personalised sports participation certificate.
The aim of the project is to activate the life of the residents of the districts through sports, to promote among them such values as sportsmanship, tolerance, education and healthy habits.
