“Art and nature” exhibition

“Art and Nature” will open its doors at the CaixaForum exhibition space in Palma, featuring works by outstanding masters of the 20th and 21st centuries – Picasso, Miro, Le Corbusier, Raoul Hausmann, Jean Dubuffet, Georgia O’Keeffe, Neri Oxman, Alvar Aalto and many others.
This exhibition invites us to take a journey through the history of art of recent centuries, showing its development and relationships through a vibrant dialogue between different creative directions, united by the theme of connection between man and nature.In a situation of multiple crises – climate, environmental, territorial – the usual understanding of nature is under threat. This creates an urgent need to reconsider our relationship with the world, on which the future of our civilization depends.
This exhibition will feature approximately eighty works from the collection of the National Museum of Modern Art – Center Georges Pompidou, including works by artists who offer fresh, informed perspectives on nature and its perception. The exposition includes painting, sculpture, photography, design and architecture, creating a tale divided into four thematic sections: metamorphosis, mimicry, creation and threat.
