«Against the light» – a festival of art. 09.11.24

”Against the light” is a very interesting evening event, when the night falls and the town of Sineu lights up. This medieval town annually hosts an entire route called “Against the light”. This and various light shows with music, dancing and performances. On this day, houses and gardens get decorated with lights and residents and tourists both walk around the town, exploring the route and admiring new art objects.
This event doesn’t only support local and international lighting artists but also unites them in the atmosphere of creativity, providing a great opportunity for self-expression.
The artists use different techniques of working with light, creating interactive installations that change depending on the time of the day and the position of the sun.
The play of light and shadow, bold and unique performances, often addressing modern day social and cultural themes, support for avant-garde and experimental forms of dance, theatre and music – all this and much more at the “Against the Light” festival.
