“Wuthering Heights” is a new adaptation of Emily Bronte’s famous novel directed by Emerald Fennell. The movie tells a dark, emotional and tragic love story of Heathcliff and Catherine, unfolding among the harsh English moors. Heathcliff, found and raised in Earnshaw’s family home, becomes part of a foreign world where he faces humiliation and rejection but that’s exactly where his strong connection with Catherine is born. Their feelings become so powerful that they slowly turn into a harmful addiction and pride, jealousy and social differences lead to tragic consequences.
Featuring Margot Robbie (Catherine) and Jacob Elordi (Heathcliff). The movie promises to be visually appealing, with gothic atmosphere, tense drama and an emphasis on passion and inner conflict. This version is characterised by a more modern delivery and bold style, causing avid discussion.
