“The Song of Sybil”. The Mallorcan Capella

The Song of Sybil” is a traditional concert that is held annually by the Mallorcan Capella Choir. The event takes place in the Church of Saint Eulalia in Palma. Entrance fee is 10 euros and all gathered funds will be sent to the charity project Barceló in Ethiopia.
The key moment of the event is the medieval hymn “The Song of Sybil” that was recognised as a piece of intangible cultural heritage by UNESCO. This hymn, based on an ancient Greek prophetic poem of Judgment Day, is performed in a unique liturgical manner and accompanied with supporting musical program that includes Christmas carols and choir compositions.
