Photography exhibition in the Toni Catany Foundation

Location: Llucmajor. Mallorca
The Toni Catany foundation is located in Llucmajor, Mallorca. It is actively involved in preserving and spreading the legacy of Toni Catany (1942-2013), a famous Spanish photographer whose works were recognised on an international level. His career started in the 1960s when he was travelling around Egypt, Israel and Italy, and since then his works have been regularly featured in both spanish and international publications. From 1972 onwards, the photographer has taken part in more than 100 exhibitions, both collaborative and solo.
The Toni Catani Foundation currently presents the following exhibitions:
Toni Catany: The history of photography — this exhibition offers a retrospective view on Toni Catany’s work and demonstrates his contribution to the art of photography.
Jordi Esteva. A journey to the forgotten world — the exhibition is held until the 25th of may and features the works of Jodi Esteva, a famous Spanish writer and photographer, dedicated to his time in Egypt, Morocco, Bangladesh and Columbia, as well as a look into disappearing cultures.
My Mediterranean. Toni Catany and Josep Pla. — The exhibition opening is scheduled for April 11, 2025; it explores the connection between Toni Catany’s photography and the texts of an author Josep Pla, reflecting their view of the mediterranean.
