“Night of art on Mallorca”
Date: 20.09.25
Once a year Mallorca hosts a night of art -La Nit de L’Art.
First held in 1997, its organisers, Xavier Fiol and Pepe LLabres, wanted to make art at Mallorca not elitist but accessible to everyone. And judging by the fact that the festival has become an annual event and this year it was held for the 27th time, they succeeded.
Now the night of art is a kind of sacred action, which unites people who are not indifferent to the beautiful.
For one evening, the capital of the Balearic Islands turns into a seething stream of people, united by the idea of absorbing and being inspired by something extraordinary.
Just imagine, at around 6pm you arrive at the pre-determined place indicated in the festival programme and there you will see musicians and artists performing, street art exhibitions.
On the seafront and every corner of the old town there are stalls selling local handicrafts, drinks and traditional Mallorcan cuisine.
Not far from Llotja de Palma there are DJs playing, people dancing and partying.
After enjoying all this splendour, you can go to one of the museums (all open until 11pm minimum) or go to the many art galleries or government buildings, which are also open and welcoming visitors on this night.
Those who are hungry for new discoveries and impressions have a rare opportunity not only to see works of art, but also to communicate with their authors, who are engaged in performance, painting, sculpture, photography, architecture and much more.
For the sake of this, it is worth putting all your business aside and going on an aesthetic journey.
This festival is a landmark event for Mallorca and the Balearic Islands as a whole.
