July 25 Valdemossa will host Lyricandles, a chic classical music evening in the open air in the gardens of the Monastery of La Cartuja. The event takes place as part of the feast of Santa Catalina Thomas and is considered a true masterpiece for lovers of chamber music and unique concerts.
When the sun hides behind the Tramuntana mountains, hundreds of candles light up in the gardens, softly lighting the monastery’s ancient walls. It becomes a magical scene for professional vocalists and pianists who perform arias from operas and Spanish zarzuela, with each musical theme accompanied by subtle aromas, specially selected in harmony with the mood of the works.
