Kiki Morente, a famous Spanish flamenco singer, will perform at a music festival in honour of Paco de Lucía, a legendary guitarist. This festival will be held in Mallorca once again, for the fourth time.
Kiki Morente was born in Granada, he is a son to renowned Enrique Morente (1942-2010 – a spanish flamenco singer, novator and one of the most influential artists in the genre’s history) and a brother of a popular singer Estrella Morente. Kiki inherited the deeply rooted musical tradition of his family, while creating his own style where he combines traditional elements with modern tunes.
His album «Albayzín» (the name of a historical neighbourhood in Granada) reflects the dedication to the roots of flamenco as well as demonstrates the striving for experimentation. The performance is characterised by depth, sensitivity and respect to the Morente’s family heritage.
